While flying back to Kuwait, I came across this mysterious looking Oasis. from the airplane's oval window, it looked like a water park with lots of greenery. There is also a large walled rectangular enclosure right next to it. Does anyone know what that place is? Is that water or an oil spill? and if it was an oil spill, there should be no greenery ?
I am baffled.

That green looks pretty gunky. No trees, just gunk stuff. So what's the walled enclosure; why next to an oil lake?
