Mystery Oasis found in the Kuwait Desert

While flying back to Kuwait, I came across this mysterious looking Oasis. from the airplane's oval window, it looked like a water park with lots of greenery. There is also a large walled rectangular enclosure right next to it. Does anyone know what that place is? Is that water or an oil spill? and if it was an oil spill, there should be no greenery ?

I am baffled.

Here is the picture I took, click on the picture to see the original size.

Japanese banks after the crisis

I've just read that uncertainty has now hit the Japanese banking sector:

In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded.

Sumo Bank has gone belly up.

Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.

Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song,
while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived.

Samurai Bank is soldiering on following sharp cutbacks,

Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.

Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal!

Youtube Commenters are retarded

I uploaded the below video to youtube a long time ago and it has been getting many views. A lot of youtube commenters feel bad for the horse and think the guy trying to climb on the horse is a girl?!?! Are youtube commenters really that stupid ? or are they living in little bubbles and cannot recognize an arab guy in dishdasha?

How to get a fully loaded new Macbook Pro for less than the Apple web site

Apple advertises its fully loaded Macbook Pro 15":

  • 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
  • 320GB Serial ATA @ 5400
  • SuperDrive 8x

At $2,499. I got mine for $2,225 and no shipping or cutstoms duties.

How did I pull this off ? Well I was in London Heathrow Airport and bought it off the duty free. It cost me in British Pounds 1,488.47

Converting to dollars, I got a $274 saving. I did my own shipping by carrying it in my hand all the way to Kuwait.

In these hard economic times, every dollar saved, counts.
