I know its been a long time since I last posted here, I Will soon.

I am not gone, I just discovered tumblr

Ok, I did not really discover it. Tumblr was there a long time before I found out about it, but it makes blogging so easy and fast and allows me to post a lot of nonsense inspirations very quickly. It is like twitter and blogger got married and their newborn was tumblr. You can find me on tumblr at donveto.tumblr.com .

I am not quitting blogger, just will be posting both here and at tumblr. See you all there, all three of you.

Happy New Year

I just want to wish everyone a happy new year. Is it just me or did 2008 finish too fast ? I was just getting used to 2008 and now 2009 is just a few hours away. Anyway, wishing all of you health, happiness, prosperity and lots of love for the new year and for the resto of your life.

Dwwen, the blog aggregator for Arab blogs is closing down on 15 June 2008 because they could not make enough money to support themselves.

I feel bad for those guys, it was a decent site. I don't know how popular it got but I passed by from time to time.

Most of the bloggers in Kuwait know about Safat, it is the aggregator that keeps all of us Kuwaiti bloggers together as one big happy family.

I use to remember there was a nice calendar on the side bar and you could see past posts. I cannot find it anymore, I thought it might be my Opera browser that did not display it correctly, so I tried IE, still no calendar.

Anyway, if you want to see past posts you can either wait until it is just before midnight Kuwait time and catch the last post, or if you don't feel like Cinderella, then you can use the following links:

In this Internet age, there are so many ways to make friends and meet other people not in your immediate social circle. You have myspace, hi5, messenger, bluetooth, email, etc. etc. etc.

But how did the older pre-internet / pre-mobile generation get to meet others?
