Smile Crisis
There is a serious crisis in this country. People are not smiling. Girls look like they are smelling something bad, boys look like they are going to kill someone.
Smile people, life is too short to have a constant frown.
If you need help smiling, this little mouthpiece from Japan can help you:
According to the instructions
The Beauty Smile Trainer is basically a mouthpiece, but it's designed specifically to make your smile wider and more amicable than the one you already have. It's even endorsed by a cosmetic dentist (the woman on the top left.) In addition to improving your smile, the product promises to reduce facial sagging, making your countenance more firm and petite.

No more please
J K Rowling, the Billionaire author of the Harry Potter series is writing a two new books.
Personally, I think Harry Potter was a combination of Oliver Twist, Enid Blyton's St. Clare series and Ursula Le Guin's Wizard of Earthsea Magic, with a little messiah story thrown in.
Hell, I am going to mash up a few old books and come up with a best seller, maybe.

Jokes with Guitar
Hilarious comedian Demetri Martin made me belly laugh all morning.
Have a look at it, it will make your weekend bright and sunny, not that we need more sunshine here in Kuwait, but you know what I mean.

What Music to Choose?
I am going out in 10 minutes, and I played the CDs in my car so much, even the car CD player is sick of them. Time for new music, but what music can I choose. I want music that I like but not something that I am sick of hearing over and over again. I could sit down for a few hours and make a perfect compilation CD but I cannot spare the time, instead I put together a smart playlist on my iTunes. The result was a perfect selection. Here is the Smart Playlist I created:
I got over 8000 songs on my iTunes, I did not hear all of them, I just dump any music in there.
To select my songs for my quick CD, I had the smart playlist choose the songs that I heard over 3 times, that I rated 5 stars and never skipped over. I ended up with 3 audio CDs after I burnt it. Now for some happy musical driving.

Ceramic Tiles or Wooden Floor?
I have a room with ceramic tiles or kashee as we call it here in Kuwait.
I didn't like the look of it, it was cold, and there was echo when you walked on it and I wanted to do something a little different instead of putting your generic wall to wall carpet. So I put in a rosewood floor.
What do you think does it look better?

Red Bull
Ever wondered what is inside that can of blue of and silver called Red Bull and does it really "give you wings" ?
I know it has plenty of caffeine and that should be enough to make anyone climb walls and kick start your day, but what other active potent mixes does it have.
Well Red Bull has bull bile. Yes, Bull Bile, or as is labelled on the can Taurin. Among the effects of Taurin is that it reduces blood pressure and reduces muscles fatigue. Studies on mice showed that obese mice do not gain weight when given Taurin. Taurin is also being tested as a treatment for anti-manic depression for bipolar disorder.
Redbull has some Glucuronolactone. Glucuronolactone has been shown to improve memory retention and concentration as well as acting as an antidepressant and stimulant.
Last but not least, Red Bull has Inositol. Inositol is a carbohydrate found in animal muscle. Inositol is deficient in depressed people meaning lack of it causes increased depression. It is used in the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder. Experiments and animal studies show that it is can be used against some kinds of cancers.
Translating all of the above, Red Bull is full of goodness and can really give you wings. Now where did I put my can of Red Bull.

It is a topsy turvy world, what you thought was right turned out to be wrong. What you thought was up turned out to be down. When it is supposed to be bright and sunny, it is dark and cloudy.
Do not despair, you can brighten things up by making everything you right upside down. For those of you who cannot read upside down, or cannot stand on their heads to read this, here is the text right side up.
And here is the little link that I got from digg that helped me flip my text.

Old Kuwaiti Street
A street in Old Kuwait, an oil painting by Ayoub Hossein Al-Ayoub. (click on the picture to enlarge)
Houses where placed close to each other with small doors and narrow streets to maximize the shade and to help avoid the scorching sun. Kuwaitis lived near the sea coast to allow the humid sea breeze to be absorbed by the house walls and provide a cooling effect inside the house.
More about Ayoub Hossein Al-Ayoub here.
