Ever wondered how smarties, these colorful candy covered pellets are made ? Do they cover each chocolate with sugar candy and then hand paint each and every one of them?
Every night they are sitting & painting these candies... but they don`t tell anyone about it. They prefer to say, that they have special machines, conveyors & so on & these machines just pour colorful syrop on candies. Or they tell also, that they just throw candies to different syrops.
But don`t believe in this, Don Veto. It`s hanmade candies, yes yes, just it`s a secret

-Mix two parts sugar candy with one part liquid rainbow.

-Leave overnight to dry
-Finally, stamp copyrighted "M" on each and every one.
Thats how M$M's are made. Dunno about smarties sorry :P
